Martell & Melody Holt, educators turned entrepreneurs, are the epitome of the term “power couple”. This dynamic duo started a business together in their early 20’s, and within 3 years grew it to a million dollar business, and only two years later, a multimillion dollar business. As owners of Holt & Holt Entrepreneurship and Holt Custom Homes, Martell and Melody continue to blaze the trail as serial entrepreneurs. They have found countless ways to give back to their community, to include creating opportunities for employment, assisting others to enter into their industry, and most recently as seen on the new OWN show Love& Marriage: Huntsville, working diligently to revitalize North Huntsville.
In their spare time, Martell & Melody have also managed to co-write a book titled “The 9-5 Entrepreneur: Twelve Questions to Consider Before Taking the Leap”, launch Mimosas with Melody, a women’s empowerment brunch, and actively participate on several boards to include the Alabama A&M University College of Business Advisory Council, Women’s Economic Development Council, Women’s Business Council, and the Madison County/Huntsville City Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. They are also proud members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. & Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Due to their continuous involvement in the community and success in business, they have become sought after speakers and influencers. They have been featured in Sheen Magazine, 256 Magazine, Essence Magazine, and several blogs. For Martell & Melody, failure is never an option, and they do not believe that it should be an option for others either. Likewise, the story of the Holts is ever evolving and they will be ones to watch for years to come.
